We are now on the coach en route to Folly Farm. We have had a lovely morning at Windsor Castle where the Queen was in residence but she didn't come out to see us. We will update tonight with photos and diary entries.
Hello Everyone,
Arrived safely at 6.00pm after leaving Windsor Castle. After lunch we took a brief walk alongside the RiverThames. The traditional '8 minute lunch stop' didn't materialise this time but we are sure that will come as the week unfolds!
It was good to see our friends at Folly Farm once again. We were made very welcome and after putting our bags away in our rooms we gathered together for our first meal - not pizza as planned as the bases were on the coach but hot-dogs instead! The pizzas will be along later.
After dinner it was coats and wellies on with torches lit and off for a night time walk and setting humane traps for mice and voles. We'll see how successful we have been in the morning before setting them free once more.
The only worrying aspect of the day was that when we arrived the Queen left immediately for Buckingham Palace! Was it something that we said?
