Residential Trip 2014 - Thursday

More adventurers for the early morning walk today looking for squirrels and signs of badger activity. Sadly, we arrived making too much noise for any self-respecting wildlife to wait around for us, but it was still good to be out in fresh air.

After a hearty breakfast we set off for Bath and the world famous Roman Baths. Lovely Bath was thronged with visitors, many who seemed to heading for the baths. A splendid tutor brought Roman life to the modern day with explanations about Roman costume, mosaics and artifacts. After a tour of the baths themselves we spent time in the Abbey but not before we had the chance to join with a busker outside singing 'Wheels on the Bus' to great acclaim from the bystanders nearby.

We returned to Folly Farm via Winford to look out for the fantastic scarecrows for which the village is famous.

After a lovely evening meal it was sadly time to begin packing for the journey home and the thought of Legoland!
